The 2005 Marching Band

What will the Indians bring to the field in

2006

The Indian Band finished up 2005 with  a record number of First place finishes in competitions.  Traveling all over Virginia and to parts of Tennessee  the band proved to be a force to be reckoned with.

Will 2006 prove to be another winning year for our band?  Those of us behind the scenes think it will be an even more remarkable year than ever.   Follow the bands progress as we prepare for an outstanding field show for this year.

?Drum Major Needed

This year our band is forced to say goodbye to Ms. Kimberly McFarland.

Kim will graduate and move on with her life but she will leave behind the memories and lessons well taught of commitment and dedication to the band program here at Rural Retreat High School.

Kim will be sincerely missed by her band family.

Any one interested in try outs for Drum Major for the 2006 marching season should see Mr. Brooks for more information.

TRANSPORTATION

Once again this year the band will be working toward a new method of transportation.   We are in search of a new van or an enclosed trailer to be used for hauling equipment to and from our competitions and the away football games.  If you would be interested in making a donation toward this goal, you can mail it to us .
